Anyway the funny thing is we were already in Stockholm pre celebrating the festival in this great chinese restaurant, but in the middle of all excitements and thousand other things to do, there we go:
We forgot to check if there are some mooncake to bring home back here in the swedish outback, where most asian specialities you may find is more or less only soya sauce, which I am anyway sincerely thankful that at least this is possible.
Anyway, aside from this beautiful meaning of the moon festival, I personally think, that leaving a chinese fully aware of the moon festival but without moon nor mooncake is like placing a child in a candy store without giving her any candy. One more year like this and I promise I´ll move to the moon itself, live there and enjoy all the mooncakes that is there!
Anyway, I´ll write more about this great chinese restaurant in Stockholm on my next post. Meanwhile, for more inspirational stories about moon festival I suggest you also read La Théiére Nomade, who´s choice of tea for this day I also agree very well.
Lotus seeds in the mooncake is considered warm (yang ) food, and so nothing is more balance I think than something lighter ( a bit yin to the very yang Lotus seeds ), and yet at the same time gives a very good digestive balance, as such oolong like Tie Kwan Yin.
Happy Moon Festival Everyone!
